Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to latest claim on Erik ten Hag

[ad_1]

Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest claim surrounding Ajax manager Erik ten Hag and the north London club’s continued search for a new permanent manager.

This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @TheSpursExpress shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article from journalist Fabrizio Romano for The Guardian.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

In the article, Romano claims that Ten Hag ‘remains a contender’ to be named as the new permanent manager at the north London club.

This post then caught the attention of a lot of Tottenham supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest claim about Ten Hag from Romano?

“Please.”

@CynicalSpurs

“There’s hope”

@baleszn

“I’m on my knees”

@thfclucas

“It’s now or never please Daniel please”

@xAlfieTHFC

“Please Levy just don’t disappoint us for once.”

@xthfcollie

“Wow”

@Spurzinho

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Spurs fans are desperate to see their club potentially appoint Ten Hag as their new permanent manager.

Would you like to see Ten Hag appointed as Spurs’ new manager?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how the 51-year-old has managed to win 123 out of the 167 matches he’s had in charge of Ajax, winning five trophies in the process, it’s easy to see why these Spurs fans want to see him take the reins at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, with the Dutchman recently signing a new contract extension at Ajax, and the fact that Spurs are now reportedly in advanced talks with Paulo Fonseca over the current manager role, this doesn’t make appointing Ten Hag feel likely at this moment in time, in our view.
