A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on a post by Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold.
The Lilywhites tasted their first defeat of the new Premier League campaign on the weekend in an emphatic 3-0 loss against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Are you pleased with Nuno at Spurs?
Yes
No
Following the defeat, Spurs manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, spoke to the media about his decision not to bring on either Bryan Gil or Tanguy Ndombele from the bench on Saturday.
“They didn’t come on because I didn’t decide to bring them on. It was the right moment to make a sub but then we went down to 10 men so we needed to balance the team with a defender,” he said.
Spurs fans flocked to the tweet from the Spurs reporter relaying the quotes from the north London club’s Portuguese manager to share their frustration.
What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?
“This is a pathetic response. Palace had a flurry of chances in the last ten minutes.”
“Deluded.”
“Worst manager we will ever have. We will finish 14th I reckon and hope he doesn’t see out the season”
“With Winks and Davies still on the payroll at Spurs it’s no wonder we’re a laughing stock!”
“Big big Jose vibes from this guy”
“NUNO OUT”
“That’s an awful answer”
The Lilywhites failed to score on Saturday for the first time in the Premier League under Espirito Santo having proved toothless in front of goal with just one shot on target to their name (WhoScored).
Two big London derbies are coming up for Tottenham in the league and it is apparent these Spurs fans are far from impressed by their new manager following the Palace defeat.
