The future surrounding academy star Emile Smith Rowe has been clouded in doubt since it emerged a few weeks ago that Aston Villa are interested and have apparently had two bids rejected for the 20-year-old.
A report via Football.London says that bids of £25m and £30m have so far been batted back by Arsenal for Smith Rowe and now the manager, Mikel Arteta, when questioned after a recent pre-season defeat has made it clear about the Englishman’s future;
“Without a question.”
“Yes. He will stay here. 100%.”
In fact Arsenal are hurriedly trying to lock their young asset down to a long-term contract and the words from the manager will encourage fans that this will indeed be the case.
With the likes of Mesut Ozil and Martin Odegaard gone from the club, Emile Smith Rowe at this current time will be expected to play a big role this season.
Don’t Miss:
With a World Cup in 18 months time, no doubt the youngster will have one eye on making the step up and impressing the England manager and force his way into the Three Lions squad after their Euro heroics.
