Could Bernd Leno leave Arsenal in January?

From Leno’s perspective, it would make sense for him to find a new club in the January transfer window.

After all, the 29-year-old is not playing now and is unlikely to get much game-time in the coming weeks and months.

Ramsdale has established himself as the clear first-choice goalkeeper under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Leno – who earns £100,000 per week as salary (Spotrac) – has played thrice in the Premier League so far this season.

The goalkeeper has played twice in the Carabao Cup this campaign.

Arsenal boss Arteta told The London Evening Standard this month that Leno is “disappointed” with his situation.

The Spaniard also said that the goalkeeper needs to “raise his level”.

From Arsenal’s perspective, it would not make sense to sell Leno in the middle of the season.

After all, the Gunners need two strong and competitive goalkeepers if they are to be successful this season.
