Bruno Lage has made a positive start to his Wolverhampton Wanderers reign.

The Portuguese’s side sit eighth in the Premier League with five wins from 11 matches.

Hwang Hee-chan has been a hit since arriving on loan from RB Leipzig in the summer with four Premier League goals to his name.

And now it’s reported that Wolves are plotting a swoop to further boost their striking ranks.

According to Fotomac [via Sport Witness], the Molineux club are leading the race to sign Enner Valencia from Fenerbahce.

Valencia, 32, has contributed with two goals and three assists in the Turkish Super Lig this season, but fans of English football will associate him with spells at both West Ham and Everton.

Valencia played over 60 times for West Ham.

The Ecuadorian spent three years (2014-17) registered to the Hammers, scoring 10 times in 68 matches.

In that time he had a loan spell with Everton in which he netted three times in 23 matches.

Now it’s claimed that there’s a possibility Valencia, who has scored 34 times in 67 matches for Ecuador, could be offered a third crack of the Premier League as the report states ‘negotiations with Fenerbahce will begin’ in January.
