A cryptic tweet sent out by Matt Hardy during WWE SmackDown is adding fuel to the rumors that Jeff Hardy may be on his way to AEW.
Matt tweeted, “I feel xtremely good about the future.”
That is clearly a reference to the days when Matt and Jeff were known as Team Xtreme. Matt and Jeff have both said in interviews that they would like to team up again for one last run before their in-ring careers are done.
If All Elite Wrestling wants to sign Jeff then they would legally be able to do so after his 90-day non-compete expires following his release from WWE this week.
Matt stated on Twitch this week that his brother is at home and he is doing fine and Jeff’s wife Beth has echoed the same thing as Matt.
There has been no public statement from WWE or Jeff on the matter as of this writing and there was no reference to Jeff on SmackDown where he was originally scheduled to wrestle Happy Corbin.
