A good morning for Mataro, Ethnikos and Ekipe Orizzonte

With the second day of the Women’s Euro League well underway, we bring you a report from the first half of the day’s action from across Europe. There were easy wins for Ethnikos, CN Mataro and Ekipe Orizzonte, as NC Vouliagmeni and Plebiscito Padova tied. BVSC also won in the first game on in Berlin, deservedly beating Olympic Nice. There are still many games to come later in the day, of which we will, of course, report on our site.

Group C

There was no hanging around in Berlin this morning as they have already worked through three matches.

The most entertaining was a 7-7 draw between two teams that won yesterday, Vouliagmeni and Padova. Amy Ridge once again scored a hat-trick for the Nautical Club, however Laura Barzon, Mariia Borisova and Elisa Queriolo were on hand for Plebiscito to ensure the points were split.

Mataro bounced back from their surprising defeat yesterday to Padova with a confident victory over hosts Spandau. It was the two summer recruits who racked up the goals, Bella Markoch netted a double hat-trick while the Dutch Simone Van der Kraats bagged 5 goals.

BVSC put their disappointing start to this competition behind them with a fairly straight-forward victory over Nice. Alex Gemes and Kata Meszaros-Farkas both netted thrice, while skipper Dora Leimeter and Tamara Farkas both earned braces.
