The Pacific University women’s tennis team was able to claim a narrow 5-4 victory to wrap up the 2021 season on Saturday in Walla Walla.
Pacific was able to claim 2 points in doubles play with Cassidy Binder and Sydnie Binder teaming up to claim the 8-5 win at #1 doubles. The second point for the Boxers came at #3 doubles by forfeit with Whitman not having enough players.
The Boxers claimed their first point in singles play following a 6-1, 6-2 win at #2 singles from Sydnie Binder. Cara Tamaye was able to get the 4th point for the Boxers team total following a comeback win 1-6, 6-4, 6-4. The Boxers picked up the final point following a forfeit at #6 singles.
The Boxers finish the 2021 campaign with a 5-6 record and a 4-4 record in conference play.
