Little League® International has announced the elevation of Kevin Fountain, Director of Media Relations, to Senior Director of Communications, effective as of January 1, 2022.
“As we continue to look at strengthening the communications efforts around our organization, we are proud to provide Kevin with this new leadership position and look forward to the additional insight and expertise he will provide in this new role,” said Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “Kevin’s efforts and contributions have greatly enhanced the overall mission and goals of the organization and we look forward to what this new opportunity will bring for the department, our volunteers, and the organization as a whole.”
In his new role as Senior Director of Communications, Mr. Fountain will continue to assist with the day-to-day media relations of the organization, while also taking over the leadership and oversight of Little League’s graphic design and constituent communications efforts to establish a 360-degree communications approach for Little League International, as we continue to bring the organizations updated mission, logo, and look to life across all platforms.
“It is an honor to be given this opportunity to help develop Little League’s overall communication efforts and introduce the historic traditions of our program to the next generation of Little League players and volunteers,” said Mr. Fountain. “I am looking forward to helping write the next chapter in this Little League story and working with our incredibly talented team to develop a communication strategy to help support and educate our local leagues, share the story of the Little League brand, and inspire the future generation of Little Leaguers to come.”
Mr. Fountain joined Little League in August 2016 as the Director of Media Relations where he has been responsible for the day-to-day media efforts of the organization, supporting local leagues with media inquiries and public relations efforts, as well as the oversight of external communications efforts such as feature stories and social media content. In addition to his media relations efforts, Mr. Fountain has also helped to develop Little League International’s communications department internship program and World Series student support each year.
A 2011 graduate of Seton Hall University with a degree in Sport Management, he also received a Master of Business Administration Degree from St. John’s University in 2015, and previously held communications positions in the athletic departments at Columbia University, St. John’s University, and at Centenary College (now University), as well as with the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League (ABCCL).
