LATEST SIGNING – Isaak Welch

Isaak Welch is returning home for the commencement of the 22/23 season from the far north.

Having started his career at Devonport Services, the 21-year-old centre was selected for the Exeter Chiefs Academy at just 15 and was in the Devon club’s system for 5 seasons before opting to let rugby show him a bit of the world. Brief stints in Australia (UWA) and France (Stade Niçois) preceded a term with Darlington Mowden Park as he completed his university studies in the Northeast. Now, still only 21, he is back home and ready to make an impression with Albion.

Speaking of the signing, backs coach Ryan Lamb said “Isaak is a strong hard running centre with a great skill set as well. He is young but has been in some very professional environments, being an ex-Exeter academy member and already has experience in National One. As a local lad, we are really looking forward to working with him. Welch added “I’m excited to come back to play for my home town Plymouth, and looking forward to what will hopefully be a successful season”

We’re looking forward to it to Isaak!
