What to Know

The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Dallas Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. ET Wednesday at American Airlines Center after having had a few days off. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

While not quite a landslide, the matchup between the Lakers and the Orlando Magic on Sunday was still a pretty decisive one as Los Angeles wrapped it up with a 106-94 win at home. It was another big night for Los Angeles’ small forward LeBron James, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, 11 rebounds, and ten dimes.

Meanwhile, everything went Dallas’ way against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday as they made off with a 120-96 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 70-43. Dallas’ power forward Kristaps Porzingis did his thing and posted a double-double on 24 points and 13 boards along with five blocks.

Los Angeles is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Oklahoma City Thunder Nov. 4 easily too and instead slipped up with a 107-104. In other words, don’t count the Mavericks out just yet.
