MLB weather updates today: Angels vs. Blue Jays, Mets vs. Marlins postponed due to rain on Sunday

Sunday’s matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Angels had its 1:07 p.m. ET start time delayed because of inclement whether, and now it’s been postponed altogether because of thunderstorms. The game was scheduled to be take place in Dunedin, Florida. It will now be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Tuesday, August 10, at Los Angeles Angels Stadium.

Game 1 of rescheduled series will begin at 3:07 p.m. PT and the Blue Jays will be the hoe team. The second leg is set for 7:07 p.m. PT and the Angles will act as the home team.

Toronto and Los Angeles split the first two games of the series, but the Blue Jays handed the Angels a crushing 15-1 defeat on Saturday to even the score before the rubber game. Fans of both ball clubs will have to wait a while before the tie is broken.

The New York Mets and Miami Marlins game down in South Beach was suspended in the first inning due to thunderstorms. Marcus Stroman and John Curtiss were the starting pitchers, so unfortunately that may impact fantasy baseball lineups. The Mets-Marlins game will likely be rescheduled for a later date.
