After being looked at by the Mets medical staff and with Luis Rojas looking on, the Mets pulled Davis from the game, as he replaced in the lineup at third base by Luis Guillorme.

The team later announced that X-rays on Davis’ hand were negative. Davis was diagnosed with a left hand contusion and is considered day-to-day.
