West Brom moved to the top of the Championship with a resounding 4-0 victory over Slavisa Jokanovic’s Sheffield United.
Jokanovic had only collected one point from his opening two games and the Blades boss left Aaron Ramsdale out at The Hawthorns with the goalkeeper on the verge of joining Arsenal.
Ramsdale’s deputy Michael Verrips endured a torrid night with the Dutchman unable to cope with Albion’s aerial threat.

Former Blade Callum Robinson saw two efforts disallowed before Jack Robinson headed Darnell Furlong’s long throw into his own goal after 26 minutes.
Verrips was at fault when he dropped Alex Mowatt’s corner into the path of Darragh O’Shea two minutes after the break.
Mowatt’s neat finish made it three six minutes later, and Robinson completed the scoring on the hour after the Blades had failed to deal with another long throw.
QPR, Bournemouth and Blackburn moved into the play-off positions with respective away wins at Middlesbrough, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest.
Mark Warburton’s QPR shaded a five-goal thriller at the Riverside despite having Moses Odubajo sent off when the scores were tied at 1-1.
Uche Ikpeazu put Boro ahead from the penalty spot after seven minutes but Rangers levelled straight after the break when Jonny Howson diverted Lee Wallace’s cross into his own net.
Odubajo was sent off for a second bookable offence five minutes after the restart before Lyndon Dykes put the visitors ahead from a tight angle.
Matt Crooks equalised after 72 minutes, but Chris Willock fired the winner for 10-man Rangers four minutes later.
Bournemouth moved into fourth with a 2-0 victory at Birmingham, who were left rueing a disallowed effort from Lukas Jutkiewicz.
Dominic Solanke and Jaidon Anthony – with his first senior goal – struck in the final 13 minutes to give the Cherries a second successive away win.
Blackburn climbed into sixth with a 2-1 victory at the City Ground.
Forest boss Chris Hughton had won all his previous seven games against Blackburn, but Daniel Ayala’s stooping header gave Rovers the lead two minutes into the second half.
Philip Zinckernagel equalised with a vicious strike to give Forest hope of collecting a first point of the season.
But Darragh Lenihan restored Rovers’ lead four minutes from time and Forest’s misery was completed by Jordan Gabriel’s red card in the final seconds.
Wayne Rooney’s Derby claimed their first win of the season at Hull.
Sam Baldock grabbed the 57th-minute winner on his debut after Tigers goalkeeper Matt Ingram had spilled Lee Buchanan’s shot.
