Recent reports have credited two Premier League sides with an interest in Besiktas striker, Cyle Larin.
Who is Cyle Larin?
Cyle Larin is currently plying his trade in the Turkish top-flight with Besiktas.
Laris would join Besiktas in January of 2018, departing Orlando City for a fee believed to be around £1.8m.
In his first half-season at the club, Larin would score just four goals across all competitions.
This then saw the 16-year-old loaned to Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem for the 2019/20 campaign.
Larin had a decent loan stint, which saw him notch nine goals and 11 assists across all competitions for Zulte Waregem.
The 33-time capped Canadian international has since returned to Turkey and is currently in the midst of his best-ever season in European football.
All told, in 41 outings so far this term, Larin has managed to score 23 and assists four for Besiktas.
Interestingly, though his previous two seasons in Europe saw him play as a striker, Larin’s role has now shifted out wide somewhat.
23 of his games this campaign have come from the left flank, with a further five from the right and 13 in the middle.
Tottenham and West Ham eyeing Larin
Now, the versatile forward, who will have just one year left to run on his contract come the summer, appears to be attracting interest from the Premier League.
According to 90min, Tottenham and West Ham are among a number of European clubs keeping tabs on Larin.
It is added that Besiktas are working to secure Larin’s long-term future, but the forward is aware he is attracting interest from elsewhere.
No potential fee for Larin is mentioned in the report. But given the length of his deal it is hard to see him costing any potential suitor too much.
