2021 Wells Fargo Championship leaderboard: Live coverage, golf scores, updates, highlights in Round 3

As we continue the march toward the PGA Championship later this month, the Wells Fargo Championship has taken center stage of the golf world this week with two rounds now in the books at Quail Hollow Country Club. As we enter the weekend action in North Carolina, a crowded leaderboard headlines on Saturday with a couple superstars in particular lurking just behind the pack.

Matt Wallace, Gary Woodland and Patrick Rodgers are all tied atop the leaderboard at 6 under. They’ll be attempting to fend off a formidable threat in the form of Rory McIlroy, however, who sits on the leaderboard at T5 and just two strokes back of the leaders after shooting a 5-under 66 on Friday. Phil Mickelson, who stunned with his performance while finishing with the lead on Thursday, fell back in the second round with a 4-over 75 but remains in contention at just three strokes behind.
