Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer claim to emerge concerning AS Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini.
This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @thespursweb shared a post relaying news originally published in an article from Calciomercato.
The article claims that Tottenham are ready to pay the reported €30 million (£25.7 million) release clause for Pellegrini this summer.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from a number of Tottenham supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest update.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest transfer claim about Pellegrini?
“Honestly worth every penny. Massive upgrade over winks/sissoko. Pls let this happen…..”
“Yes yes yesss”
“Please pay it. It’s a no brainer!”
“Honestly worth every penny. Massive upgrade over winks/sissoko. Pls let this happen…..”
“Sell Sissoko and we’ll get him.”
“Do it”
Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Spurs fans would be delighted to see Pellegrini sign to the north London club this summer.
Would you like to see Spurs sign Pellegrini this summer?
Yes
No
With the 24-year-old managing to score seven goals and provide six assists for Roma during their 2020/21 Serie A season and ultimately earn himself a solid overall rating of 7.23/10, making him the club’s second-highest-rated player according to WhoScored, it’s easy to see why these Tottenham fans would love to see him in a Spurs shirt next season.
In our view, with current Spurs midfielder Harry Winks being previously linked with a move away from the north London club, perhaps replacing him with Pellegrini would be a good move from the club if the Englishman were to leave this summer.
