Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest claim to emerge concerning Lilywhites midfielder Harry Winks and his future at the north London club.
This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @TheSpursExpress shared a post relaying comments originally shared by journalist Fabrizio Romano during a recent Twitch stream.
In the stream, Romano claimed that Winks, who has been linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer, is “very happy” at the club, but will see whether anything significant happens “in the coming days”.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from a number of Tottenham fans who were quick to share their thoughts and feelings on this claim.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this claim from Romano about Winks?
“Fabio please do your thing”
“Today just gets worse man”
“SELL HIM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD”
“Well we aren’t happy with him being here”
“This isn’t the time for more bad news”
“Average football player at best”
Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Spurs fans are quite keen to see Winks leave the club this summer.
Given how the midfielder only managed to earn himself a rather poor overall season rating of 6.37/10 for his performances in the Premier League last season, making him the lowest-rated Spurs player to start more than five league games according to WhoScored, it’s easy to see why these Tottenham fans want him out.
Meanwhile, it could be argued that the midfielder is simply out of favour in north London, having made just nine league starts last term.
Should Spurs sell Harry Winks this summer?
Yes
No
In our view, despite Winks’ apparent happiness at being at the club at this moment in time, if another club were to come in with a transfer offer for the 25-year-old this summer, then we feel the club should consider cashing in on him and replacing him with a better-quality player before the summer transfer window deadline.
