A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts at the latest transfer claim to surface from journalist Alasdair Gold.

According to the Spurs correspondent, Joe Rodon is believed to be ‘open’ to a potential loan move away from north London in January to build up some regular game time.

However, the report also suggests the Welshman’s future could depend on the injury to Cristian Romero and whether the Lilywhites are able to strengthen their defence in the winter transfer window.

With the 24-year-old a regular in the Wales national side, these Spurs fans shared their thoughts on the centre-back’s future amid the claims from Gold.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“The circus begins.welcome to tottenham Antonio Conte”

“Noooooo I don’t want him to move”

“He should be starting not being loaned out”

“Depends” on probably the biggest position we require right now. Conte might aswell walk”

“How Sanchez is playing ahead of him is beyond comprehension.”

“Move to a premier league club who play a 3 at the back would be perfect. Newcastle or Brentford”

“Am I missing something here? I’m convinced he is better than Dier, Davies, Sanchez and Tanganga. Utterly baffling”

Rodon has struggled massively since his switch from Swansea City, with just 20 appearances across all competitions since arriving at the club in the summer of 2020 (via Transfermarkt).

Although Rodon has struggled in the Spurs team, it seems the games he has featured in has given these fans some optimism he can become a Spurs regular in the future – albeit with some believing a loan could benefit him.
