Time is getting away from Manchester United as they attempt to resolve Paul Pogba contract issue, according to the Mirror.
The Pogba drama at Manchester United is set to roll on for another few weeks, with no sign of a conclusion in sight. The Mirror reported in October that United were keen to secure an outcome by December.
Having rejoined the club in 2016, Pogba’s current contract expires next summer and will be free to discuss his future with other clubs at the turn of the year.
A damming report form the Mirror suggests that the France midfielder was open to a contract extension at the end of the 2018-19 season.
It was a strong scoring season for the midfielder, but United did not take the opportunity to extend his contract and now face losing a multi-million pound player on a free.
The next three months are vitally important for Manchester United and chief executive Ed Woodward as they look to come to a positive conclusion.
