25 August 2021 – SAFA President, Dr Danny Jordaan has wished reigning Hollywoodbets Super League champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies team all the best in the CAF Women Club Champions League (COSAFA Region) qualifiers that kicks off in Durban on Thursday, 26 August 2021.
All matches will take place at King Zwelithini Stadium which will culminate in the finals on 4 September 2021 at the same venue.
The championships will be played on round robin basis with the ultimate champions pencilled to proceed to the inaugural continental tournament in Egypt, Cairo later this year.
The South African champions set the ball rolling at King Zwelithini Stadium at 15h00 tomorrow afternoon with a match against Lesotho Defence Force with their next match two days later at the same venue against Double Action Ladies of Botswana.
The Brazilians round off their group matches campaign with a match against Manzini Wanderers of Eswatini on 30 September 2021.
The semi-finals will take place on 2 September with the finals scheduled for 4 September.

This tournament is good for the women clubs, players and the sport in general as women football continue to grow from strength to strength,’’ added Dr Jordaan.
The SAFA President said women football globally was on the rise and it is within this scope that SAFA unequivocally supports CAF’s agenda of growing women’s game.
