BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) — Colombian midfielder Jorge Carrascal is set to leave reigning Argentine top flight champions River Plate to join CSKA Moscow, according to local media reports.
The Russian club has offered around six million euros to sign the 23-year-old on a permanent deal, Argentine news outlet TyC Sports reported on Tuesday.
It added that clubs in Brazil and Mexico have also expressed interest in the attacking playmaker.
Carrascal has made 81 first-team appearances for River since joining the Buenos Aires outfit from Ukraine’s Karpaty Lviv in 2019.
He is considered one of Colombia’s brightest young talents and has represented the Cafeteros at under-15, under-17 and under-23 levels.
