Milan continue to try for Renato Sanches, despite competition from PSG, from which they want Abdou Diallo.

Charles De Ketelaere will tonight arrive in Milano and have his medical tomorrow morning, but Milan are already looking forward and want a new midfielder and a new defender in this mercato.

As reported by Sky Italia, today (Monday) the management of the Rossoneri had new direct contacts with Jorge Mendes, the agent of Renato Sanches.

Sanches is believed to be prioritizing a move a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain as he would reunite with Director of Sport Luis Campos and Christophe Galtier, with whom he worked at Lille.

Other media outlets suggested in recent days that Milan have an agreement in place with Lille for around €15m, but it’s the player who needs convincing.

Meanwhile, Sky reports that Milan asked Aston Villa for information regarding 18-year-old Carney Chukwuemeka. However, the Premier League side’s request is very high for the player whose contract expires next summer, and therefore he’s even more difficult target than Sanches.

As for the defense, Matteo Gabbia has a loan deal in place with Sampdoria but will only leave if Milan manage to take another center back. Sky claim that PSG’s Abdou Diallo is now the main target for the defense, overtaking Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga in the wish-list.

Diallo is capable of playing both as a center back and as a left-back and this is an advantage in the eyes of Milan. The goal, of course, is to sign someone on loan with option to buy.
