Pietro Pellegri has left Milan and joined Torino on loan with option to buy.
Pellegri arrived in Milan in the summer to act as the third-choice striker behind Zlatan Ibrahimović and Olivier Giroud. However, the young Italian failed to deliver, playing just 127 minutes across 6 appearances in Serie A.
The Rossoneri decided to invest in Serbian striker Marko Lazetić and send Pellegri back to Monaco, who in turn sent him to Torino for a career resurgence.
“Milan announces that the early termination of Pietro Pellegri’s loan deal has been agreed with AS Monaco. The Club would like to thank Pietro for his commitment and wishes him the very best in his future career,” a statement on the website of the Diavolo reads.
Torino later wrote: “Torino Football Club is glad to announce the signing from Association Sportive de Monaco Football Club, on loan with an option to buy, of forward Pietro Pellegri.”
