Matchday 25 of the 2020/21 NPFL season is set to hold on Sunday, June 6th, with all matches set to kick off at 4 pm.
Kano Pillars will welcome Enyimba to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna as both sides will look to outmanoeuvre each other. The first leg ended with an Enyimba home win back in January, and the home side today knows that a win would be enough to return them to the top of the log. The game will be aired live on NTA and the NPFL.tv app.
Sunshine Stars will pay a visit to the Ozoro Poly Stadium, where they will lock horns with Warri Wolves, a fellow relegation candidate. The visitors won the first leg 1-0 but have failed to win any of their last 17 matches in the league this season.
Wikki Tourists will host league-leading Akwa United at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi. Both sides played out a goalless draw in the first leg, and the visitors are clear favourites to pick up all three points.
The Cathedral will be the venue as Rangers International host MFM FC in a tantalising fixture. The visitors are unbeaten in five matches in the league, and sit just three places below their hosts on the table. Rangers have performed below expectations at times this season, but it’s hard to look beyond them for all three points.
Abia Warriors host relegation-troubled FC Ifeanyi Ubah in an Oriental Derby. The first leg ended 1-1 in Nnewi, and the home side will be looking to pick up a valuable three points as they have failed to win any of their last three matches in the league.
Heartland host Rivers United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri with a clear plan to exact revenge on the Pride of Rivers, who defeated them 3-1 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in the reverse fixture.
Dakkada FC will welcome Lobi Stars to the Nest of Champions for their Matchday 25 fixture. Lobi Stars prevailed 2-1 in the first meeting between the sides back in January, and the home side will be looking to avoid losing twice to this Lobi Stars side this season.
Kwara United will host Jigawa Golden Stars at the Kwara State Sports Complex. After a stellar first half of the season, the Afonja Warriors have seen their level drop since the restart and are now placed outside of the top four in the league. They will be looking to bounce back with a win at home.
Katsina United play host to high-flying Nasarawa United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. Both sides picked up victories in the last round of matches and are surely coming into this one full of confidence. Nasarawa United picked up a narrow win in their first meeting earlier this season.
Adamawa United will play host to Plateau United at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe. Both sides have struggled in recent weeks and need all three points. The hosts are deeply embroiled in the relegation dogfight in the league, and their visitors find themselves a long way from where they finished last season.
