TORONTO – Nashville Soccer Club (10W-3L-11D) remains at second place in Eastern Conference standings after falling to Toronto FC 2-1 despite a goal from CJ Sapong in his 300th MLS appearance.
CJ Makes it 300: CJ Sapong made his 300th career regular season MLS appearance and scored Nashville SC’s loan goal of the match. Sapong is the 13th active player in the MLS to reach this milestone. He has scored eight goals in his last 11 starts and nine goals in his last 13 starts. Sapong is chasing his career-high 16 goals in a single season from his 2017 season with Philadelphia Union. The forward has 10 goals this season for Nashville.
Staying in Second: Nashville SC remains in second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 10W-3L-11D. Nashville SC, with 41 points, sits behind only New England Revolution, with 56 points.
