MONTREAL – CF Montréal Academy players Loïc Cloutier and Maël Henry have been called up by the Canadian U20 team ahead of a youth national team camp taking place between April 10 and 22 in Costa Rica in preparations for the upcoming Concacaf men’s U20 Championship in June and July.
Cloutier, a 17-year-old defender, and Henry, a 17-year-old midfielder, currently play with CF Montréal’s U23 squad. The team is currently in preseason and will begin its inaugural season in the PLSQ on May 14 against Ottawa South United.
Cloutier played with FC Trois Lacs prior to join the CF Montréal Academy in the fall of 2017 while Henry joined the organization in the spring of the same year from FS Salaberry.
Both players took part in the 2019 Concacaf Championship with Canada’s U15 team in addition to more recently receiving invitations to a few training sessions with CF Montréal’s senior side.
