Liberty Professionals head coach Silas Tetteh has applauded his side for their performance against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Kwame Paul scored an 87th minute equaliser to snatch a point from the jaws of defeat for the Scientific Soccer Lads at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hearts went ahead in first-half stoppage-time after Daniel Afriyie Barnieh headed a Salifu Ibrahim corner kick but Liberty equalised with 3 minutes of normal time left to play.
The vital point have moved Liberty out of the relegation zone temporarily but will have to beat King Faisal on matchday 34 to beat the drop.
Tetteh, who made a return to Liberty during the second round of the league, was pleased with the performance of his side.
“This was a very balanced game, a physically strong team with physically strong performances. Both teams developed very well technically and tactically with a strong mentality and when you look at how the two goals happened – the same time of goals and almost the same minutes of the game. So it was clear both sides performed very well,” he told Eli Kondoh in the post match interview.
“The point from this game will motivate us very well prepared for our last game against King Faisal because it is a game that will decide our position in the league,” he added.
