Everton transfer news

In this article we will bring you all of today’s Everton transfer news. Make sure to check back to the site for more transfer updates throughout the season.

Lewis Leigh monitored by Everton

Firstly, Everton have been credited with an interest in Leis Leigh.

Leigh is a 17-year-old midfielder who is currently on the books of Championship outfit, Preston North End.

Leigh is yet to make a senior appearance for Preston, but has looked sharp in their youth sides.

According to Football Insider, West Ham have their sights set on Leigh and have been impressed by what they have seen from him this season.

However, the Hammers are not the only Premier League side tracking Leigh, as FI explain:

Everton are among those who are also monitoring the situation of Leigh.

No potential fee is mentioned in the report, but it is stated that Leigh signed his first professional contract last month, which runs until 2024.

Toffees to have ‘clear run’ right-back

Elsewhere, the Sun are reporting that Everton will get a clear run at Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson in the next transfer window, as Liverpool will not bid for him.

Patterson is only 19 years of age but has featured 18 times for Rangers’ senior side, including on two occasions already this season.

It is added that Rangers want over £10m for the Teenager and Everton are willing to pay.

Dwight McNeil speaks on transfer speculation

Finally, Dwight McNeil has been speaking about transfer speculation surrounding him recently.

The main club linked with McNeil over the summer was Everton.

But when speaking about his transfer links recently, McNeil stated that he is happy at Burnley and no offer came in for him:

“It’s always nice when other clubs take notice, but the main thing is that everyone here rates me very highly, which is always nice,” said McNeil.

“I’m still a Burnley player, nothing has changed. I’ve got to give my all, everything I have to Burnley.

“I’ve got a long term contract and I’m happy playing football. We said if something came in we’d look at it but nothing did. The main thing is I’m happy here – with the lads and the manager.”
