Lazio have re-ignited their interest in River Plate left back Fabrizio Angileri for this month’s transfer window.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, coach Maurizio Sarri has specifically asked for a new left back to be signed this month and the idea of signing 27-year-old Argentinian has resurfaced.

Angileri, who has a release clause of €7 million, was already in talks with Lazio last summer before things went cold following the departure of Simone Inzaghi.

The Argentinian full back’s contract expires with River Plate in June 2023, and with muscle problems currently plaguing his season, his price could be further lowered, facilitating a deal.
Angileri has made 12 Liga Profesional appearances so far this season, for a total of 850 minutes. In that time, he has provided three assists, but has missed 13 matches due to various muscle problems. His last appearance came at the start of November, where he played 14 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Estudiantes.
