Kylian Mbappe made history in Paris Saint-Germain’s 7-1 thrashing of Lille by scoring the fastest goal in Ligue 1 history.

The France superstar, 23, began the rout eight seconds into the match and went on to score a hat-trick.

His record-breaking first goal came after some tidy work between Neymar and Lionel Messi, before the Argentine clipped a stunning ball through to Mbappe.

Messi added the second himself and Achraf Hakimi got the third before Neymar scored twice.

Jonathan Bamba pulled one back for Lille but Mbappe bagged two more after half-time to complete his treble.

The Frenchman’s heroics came after a week of reports about a fallout with fellow superstars Neymar and Messi.

Mbappe made headlines for questioning the level of competition for South American nations compared to European countries.

It led to a backlash from Brazil boss Tite, while Brazilian Neymar and Argentine Messi were thought to be furious.

Mbappe and Neymar also appeared to fall out over a penalty during the victory over Montpellier last week.

Nevertheless, the superstar trio seemed to make amends with a harmonious display on Sunday night.

In Neymar’s first three games this season, he has scored five times from five shots on target and recorded six assists.

PSG are top of Ligue 1 with the maximum nine points and have scored 16 goals in their opening three games.
