Hearts of Oak are set to lose influential midfielder Gladson Awako to Great Olympics per the transfer agreement between the two clubs, according to Accra-based Asempa FM.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accra Great Olympics Oluboi Commodore sent a text message to Asempa FM on Tuesday morning notifying Ultimate Sports Show host Benedict Kwadwo Mensah that Hearts of Oak have failed to honour their financial obligation in the contract signed between themselves and Olympics.
The message read: “Moshosho, Let the world know that by the provisions of the transfer agreement between Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak the agreement automatically terminates on 2nd October 2021 without refund of monies paid if Hearts fails to fully pay the full transfer fee to Olympics.”
The 30-year-old has failed to attend training with the Phobians despite signing a two-year contract with the club.
Hearts of Oak signed the former TP Mazembe player on a 2-year deal reportedly worth GHS100,000 with the Phobians advancing GHS50,000 payment to their city rivals.
