CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati prepares for a road contest, as the club is set to face CF Montreal at DRV PNK Stadium at 1 p.m., on Saturday May 22.
FCC (0-3-1, 1 pt.) came up short, 2-3, against Inter Miami CF (2-2-2, 8 pts.) in the club’s home opener. Brek Shea opened up the scoresheet for Inter Miami in the seventh minute. Gonzalo Higuain doubled Miami’s lead in the 38th minute. Alvaro Barreal scored FCC’s first-ever goal inside TQL Stadium when he chipped the goalkeeper in the 59th minute. In the 82nd minute, the Orange and Blue had found the equalizer after Nick Hagglund connected off Luciano Acosta’s corner kick, however, Inter Miami scored the eventual game-winner a couple of minutes after.
CF Montreal (2-2-2, 8 pts.) comes off a last-minute loss, 1-0, at Atlanta United FC (2-1-2, 8 pts.). In the final minutes of action, Marcelino Moreno headed in a cross from Jake Mulraney to give the home team the win.
