STORYLINES TO WATCH

Yuya Leads MLS – After a strong outing Saturday against Toronto, Yuya Kubo leads all Major League Soccer
players in successful tackles at 42. Chasing him are Portland’s Claudio Bravo with 41 and San Jose’s Judson with 40.

All About Acosta – On Monday, Luciano Acosta
earned his fifth MLS Team of the Week honor of the season, the 11th such honor for an FC Cincinnati player/head coach Jaap Stam this season. Acosta, FCC’s all-time leader in assists in a career and a season, tallied two on Saturday vs. Toronto, which made
him the second player in club history with two assists in a match (Emmanuel Ledesma – 2 vs. HOU, July 6, 2019).

Meanwhile, Atlanta should watch out for Acosta scoring. Lucho’s six career goals against ATL is his most against any opponent (Three vs. both New England and Orlando).

Atlanta Connections
– Brandon Vázquez made 32 appearances for Atlanta, earning seven starts with the club between 2017-19. He scored three goals and recorded
two assists and was part of the MLS Cup winners in 2018. Defender Edgar Castillo made four appearances and earned one start in 2020 with Atlanta. And Yuya Kubo scored his first career goal with FCC against Atlanta United on March 7, 2020.
