Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to miss out on Mohammed Kudus to Frank Lampard’s Everton in the summer transfer window.

GhanaSoccernet reported on August 6 that Tottenham want(ed) to sign Kudus from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

The report claimed that Tottenham were planning to make a bid for the 22-year-old attacking midfielder, and that the North London club had been scouting the Ghana international.

However, it seems that it is Everton who are going to sign the playmaker, described as “very active and dynamic” by former Ajax boss and current Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag on FOX Sports in 2020.

The Times journalist Paul Joyce has reported on Twitter that Everton are set to sign the youngster on loan from Ajax in the summer transfer window with a view to making it permanent.

Good signing for the Toffees?

In our view, Mohammed Kudus would be a good signing for Everton in the summer transfer window, especially on a loan deal.

That Tottenham are reportedly following him shows how highly rated the 22-year-old is.

However, we have to consider the fact that Kudus is only 22 and is just starting his career, so Everton fans have to temper expectations and should not expect him to hit the ground running in England.

The playmaker could take a while to get used to the Premier League.

Kudus made only four starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Eredivisie last season.

The youngster scored one goal and gave one assist in those matches.
