The man behind the discovery of Dani Alves, Antonio Fernández, has returned to Sevilla as head of a new recruitment project called Youth International Recruitment, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Fernández helped the Andalusian club sign Alves for €800,000 from Brazilian club Bahia in January 2005. He has worked for teams including Valencia, Málaga and also the Spanish national team.
This will be Fernández’s second stint at Sevilla having already worked at the club between 2002 and 2006. This time out, his mission includes “finding young international talent in different countries”, according to the club.
