Corinthians ended their Copa Sudamericana campaign on a high after a 4-0 victory over Paraguayan side River Plate-PAR on Wednesday at the Neo Química Arena.
Already eliminated, Timão played without most of their first team players against a side they were expected to dominate in the first place. It was perhaps poetic to see Ramiro Serdan bag two goals on a night where it could potentially be his last for the club. Corinthians have already agreed a loan move that would see the forward join Dubai-based side Al Wasl in July.
