Chelsea’s Kepa and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini are on Lazio’s shortlist to replace Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina.
The contracts of both Reina and Strakosha are expiring in the summer and Lazio have not made progress in either of their situations. La Gazzetta dello Sport provide more details about Lazio’s goalkeeping situation, claiming that Reina’s contract could yet be extended if the club qualifies for Europe.
But Igli Tare has three names on his shortlist – Sergio Rico, Kepa and Gollini. Rico is on loan at Mallorca and Lazio have already been in touch with Paris Saint-Germain for a move regarding the goalkeeper. Contacts have been constant between the two parties.
Spurs have the option to sign Gollini permanently from Atalanta for €15 million but they don’t believe that he is worth that fee. If Spurs don’t sign him permanently, Lazio could look at him.
Kepa is said to be the ‘real dream’ as Maurizio Sarri worked with him at Chelsea. But Newcastle United are interested in the Spaniard too and that is why Lazio will not find it easy to convince him.
