Barcelona suffered elimination from the Champions League after a heavy 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, yet not everyone seemed as bothered as they should have been.
Defender Clement Lenglet, who played all 90 minutes for the Catalans, was seen smiling with Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski upon the full time whistle.
The scenes are likely to kick up a stir at the Blaugrana, given that a club of their magnitude is not accustomed to dropping out of Europe’s elite competition at this stage.
“I am leaving angry. This is our reality and it pisses me off. Today a new era begins,” Xavi said after the match.
Clearly, Xavi is looking for a different attitude from his players, and Lenglet‘s gesture certainly didn’t match his coach’s mood at full time.

The Belgian was then seen smiling and laughing with some of his former teammates after the Blues had triumphed, which caused a storm in Madrid.
