Former Bafana Bafana mentor Stuart Baxter has been reappointed Kaizer Chiefs head coach. His first stint with Amakhosi was between 2012 and 2015 where he claimed two league titles and won another two domestic Cup competitions – the Nedbank Cup and the MTN8.
Baxter replaces Gavin Hunt whose stay at Naturena was cut short eight months into his contract.

Recently appointed head of technical and youth development at the club, Molefi Ntseki, welcomed his former colleague from their senior national team days to the club.
“Coach Stuart Baxter is no stranger to Naturena. He is no stranger to the Kaizer Chiefs family. He has been here before and during his tenure from 2012 to 2015. He helped the team to reclaim the glory days because the success the club experienced under his leadership is massive,” says Ntseki.
Ntseki has confirmed that Stuart Baxter will kick off his duties with the CAF Champions League semi-final fixtures. He says Baxter will make his return in the game against Wydad Athletic Club from Morocco next weekend.
“He has a very tough assignment. The team will be in the CAF semi-finalalists. The two matches are very important to the club, to everybody associated with Kaizer Chiefs. It will be very important for us to do well and win the two matches and qualify for the finals.”
