Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that there is more to come from Ben White, as quoted in Football.London.

Arteta has said that he has been very impressed by White since he moved to Arsenal from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old central defender has established himself as an important player in the Arsenal team and has been playing well in recent weeks.

Arsenal boss Arteta has reminded the fans that White is still only 23, and has said that the England international is still developing and progressing as a footballer.

Football.London quotes Arteta as saying about White: “Well I’ve been very impressed with how he handles the pressure, with how he handles the situation of coming through the Euros, the big fee, and the composure and the calmness that he shows.

“As well the willingness to learn and improve because he realises he’s still really young as well, he’s still in the development process and there are things that he can achieve. We all really enjoy being together and we have to continue like that.”

Exciting

White is only 23, and this is just his second season in the Premier League.

The former Leeds United loanee has settled in at Arsenal and is starting to form a strong partnership with Gabriel at the back.

Now, of course, the former Brighton star will have bad games and will have a dip in form.

That is natural with all footballers, especially younger ones.

It is clear that Arteta rates White highly, and it seems that the Arsenal boss will stick by the 23-year-old when he has a bad spell.
