Arsenal ‘doing everything’ to try and bring Eduardo Camavinga to the club

Camavinga ‘can play next year in the Premier League’

The likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are the clubs said to be in pursuit of Rennes’ French wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga.

The 18-year-old has already a senior French cap and goal under Didier Deschamps and big things are expected of him.

His agent Jonathan Barnett has gone on record saying he feels Camavinga is ready for the Premier League.

“Camavinga can play next year in the Premier League. He is that good. Whether he will or not, I don’t know,” he said.

“His background has been tough if you know what he went through as a refugee and the burning of his home [in Rennes]. But his character is amazingly strong. He is not your average 18-year-old. Playing in front of 100,000 people is not going to scare him. He’s a lovely boy and I think he’s going to be a superstar.”

It appears though that one of the more outlandish destinations could become closer to a reality that originally ever theorised.

Arsenal working in secret on Camavinga deal

Arsenal are reported by French outlet le10sport to be working hard behind the scenes to make the deal happen.

According to our information, Arsenal is doing everything to be perfectly positioned in the Camavinga file

Camavinga’s deal runs out after next season and Rennes would surely prefer a big-money bid now to be received instead of losing the player for free.

They go onto say a deal below a €50 million valuation seems unlikely and Arsenal would need backing from their owners KSE to get a deal plus other work this summer done.

Should the Gunners pull off this major coup, it would be one of the signings of the summer, possibly greater.
