It’s the big one this Saturday, the biggest Chelsea match since the Champions League final in 2012, which of course we won.
Now, we have a big chance to do it all again and become Champions of Europe by beating Manchester City in the final of the Champions League this Saturday night.

It’s a game that needs no hyping up, it’s the best trophy you can lift in domestic football, and Thomas Tuchel has 3 key and massive decisions to make in his starting line up.
Who starts in the front three?
The only dead cert here is Mason Mount, you’d imagine. So Tuchel needs to select two others out of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
It’s been Werner and Pulisic getting the nod in recent games, but I believe although Werner will probably keep his position, we might see Havertz come in for Pulisic after his impact against Aston Villa on Sunday. There is also a shout that Ziyech could get the nod, with his goal contributions recently.
Who starts in the double pivot?
Assuming that N’Golo Kante is back to full fitness after returning to training yesterday, you’d expect him to be the first name on the team sheet. But who joins him?
Mateo Kovacic has looked a little off his game since returning from injury, but he brings the pace and intensity to match a quick and intense team. Or do you go with the technical ability of Jorginho to help control possession more and play out from the back better? I believe Tuchel will go with the latter.
Who starts at the back, and who plays right wing back?
We’ve seen Cesar Azpilicueta play at right wing back recently, switching out with Reece James going to centre back. This has usually been to combat pacey attackers using Reece’s pace and strength. I honestly think we could see this again, with Azpilicueta going to right wing back.
I think Tuchel trusts James in his defensive work, and Azpilicueta has actually been one of our more creative attackers out wide on the right putting in plenty of crosses. I’d be happy with either here to be honest, but I think I’d be more confident knowing James is up against City’s quick attackers.
Andreas Christensen is also fit again, but I think as it stands he is not getting back in to start this match on Saturday anyway due to missing too many games recently.
