2021/22 GHPL: Hearts of Oak return to full training after halting programs due to swine-flu outbreak

Hearts of Oak Communications Director, Kwame Opare Addo has confirmed that the players have returned to full training ahead of their Ghana Premier League match week 31 encounter against Karela United following the outbreak of swine-flu.

The Phobians were hit with a mass strange disease not long ago, however, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) recommended that all games and training of Hearts of Oak be suspended.

Due to that, Hearts of Oak match week 30 game against Eleven Wonders over the weekend was postponed.

“Following a round of tests conducted by doctors from the Ghana Health Service, we have been given the greenlight to resume training and continue preparations for our games,” Opare Addo told Citi Sports.

“Everyone is fine now. The information we have received from the Ghana Football Association is that we will play our next game against Karela United on Monday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium, and that will be after the seven days that was given by the Ghana Health Service.”

Hearts of Oak are 4th on the league table with 47 points after 29 matches played so far.
