Struggling West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) on Sunday afternoon laboured to hold Aduana Stars to a goalless draw at the end of a fierce contest in the Ghana Premier League.
Unlike previous years where the team based in Sogakpe had been a force to reckon with, WAFA SC has this season failed to turn up.
As a result, the team for the most parts of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season has been fighting relegation.
Keen on escaping the drop, the club is pushing players to fight for needed points in the remaining games of the season.
Today at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena, WAFA SC faced a tough opponent when the team locked horns with Aduana Stars.
Despite the many chances created by both teams throughout the 90 minutes, neither side could score as the game ended in a stalemate.
WAFA SC should be content with the point earned today but must win as many as possible upcoming games to have any chance of escaping relegation.
