A social media post on the part of Brighton & Hove Albion has, on Sunday, caused quite the stir amongst the fanbase of Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The Gunners and Seagulls, of course, went head to head yesterday afternoon, in a Premier League showdown at the Emirates.
Visitors Brighton, in the end, emerged from the clash with something of a shock victory, taking full advantage of an altogether lacklustre display on the part of Mikel Arteta’s hosts to bag a first three-point haul since early February.
The Gunners are behind!
Leandro Trossard’s brilliant finish has Brighton 1-0 up at The Emirates. Arsenal had a goal ruled out just before half-time through VAR.

And, as alluded to above, a full 24 hours on from the clash, Brighton, or those in charge of the club’s social media accounts at least, do not yet appear willing to let Arsenal live down Saturday’s result.
This comes with the south coast outfit having unveiled a photo, highlighting developments in the immediate aftermath of one of their two goals in north London.
In the background, two members of Graham Potter’s squad can be sen wheeling away in celebration.
More noteworthy, though, is the figure of the grounded Ben White, looking altogether forlorn amid what proved a tough week for all associated with Arsenal:

‘Disrespect’
So, why has the image piqued such widespread attention?
Well, White, of course, departed Brighton just last summer, swapping the Amex for the Emirates in a much talked about big-money move.
In turn, many, particularly those of an Arsenal persuasion, have gone on to reveal their respective takes that the post was intended as something of a dig at the former Seagulls star, with just a sample of the ensuing Twitter backlash showcased below:
Calm, but I swear Ben White basically paid for your clubs new training ground? &!hasn’t ever disrespected the club either?

Arsenal deserve the banter, no doubting that, but what has White, the player, ever said or done to disrespect your club?

Why would you be so mean to your former player who didn’t force his move and for whom you got more than deserved transfer fee.
