Former Manchester United goalkeeper and free agent, Sergio Romero, has finally signed for a new club; the stopper completed a medical and has signed a contract with Serie A side, Venezia.
It took about five months for Sergio Romero to find a new home after his release by Man United back in June – he was one of seven players to be released by the English club.

This was due to the heavy and stiff competition at Old Trafford with the inclusion of Dean Henderson last season when the stopper was blocked from returning to Sheffield United for another loan spell.
With this followed the decision by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to present young Henderson as the club’s number 2 rather than Sergio Romero, with him also preferring to alternate between David de Gea and the Englishman quite frequently.
He was a loyal and great servant for Manchester United
He spent six years at Old Trafford playing second fiddle to David de Gea for a large part of his career but was no doubt an important figure to those who came through the doors at the Aon Training Complex as the manager.
In his senary stint as a Red Devil, can you believe the most-capped Argentine goalkeeper only made seven Premier League appearances, collecting six clean sheets, four wins, one draw, and one loss?
But it was his time in the Europa League for the Manchester club that saw the best of Romero come out and in full force. With the club, he has managed to win the FA Cup and EFL Cup while having a major hand in their Europa League gold back 2016–17 under Jose Mourinho.
In his Europa run, he featured 28 times, conceding as little as 18 goals while making 62 saves to help keep 16 clean sheets, pick up 19 wins, 5 draws, and only 4 losses.
Long live one of the best number 2 goalkeeper the Premier League has ever seen – him also not being snatched up by any of the big clubs in the EPL and around Europe could be seen as a massive miss.
