Watford has completed the signing of Cameroonian defender Nicolas Nkoulou on a free transfer.
“Watford FC is delighted to announce the signing of Cameroonian defender Nicolas Nkoulou on a deal until the end of the 2021/22 season,” a statement from the club read.
The 31-year-old became a free agent after his contract with Torino expired at the end of last season. He has featured for Cameroon at two World Cups, his first of more than 70 caps came in 2008 following a call-up by the Under-23 side for that year’s Olympic Games in Beijing.
Nkoulou was close to joining Spezia but the deal failed to materialize and he ended up signing for Watford and he will wear jersey number 13.
