L’Équipe report tonight that the Ligue 1 authorities have reached a verdict on the crowd trouble that marred the end of last night’s draw between Angers and Marseille, ordering the home side to temporarily close off one of its stands.
The LFP has also ruled that Marseille will be without away fans for their next away games, with the measures set to come into effect from matchday 9 and last until the end of the investigation.
The incidents in question took place after the final whistle of a 0-0 draw between the two sides, with Marseille fans invading the pitch to confront the home support and fights taking place between the two groups. These events were the latest in a long line of instances of fan trouble this season in Ligue 1, notably in the case of the Nice-Marseille and Lens-Lille fixtures so far.
