FTR’s New AEW Entrance Theme Is A Tribute To The Midnight Express

Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of AEW’s FTR tag team has made it perfectly clear that they want to take tag team wrestling to new heights and they want to put as much respect and admiration to the tag team division, which according to them was missing in WWE and the reason they left the WWE and signed with All Elite Wrestling.

FTR’s new AEW entrance theme was recently released by the promotion and it appears to be a tribute to the legendary Midnight Express tag team as Bobby Eaton passed away earlier in the year. The legendary Midnight Express tag team started out with Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey alongside their manager Jim Cornette. Condrey would then leave the Jim Crockett promotion in 1987 and was replaced by Stan Lane.

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan took to his Twitter account and commented on FTR’s new entrance theme music, which he called Darkside of TR.

Ladies and gentlemen, available now as an early direct download & coming soon to Apple + Spotify, I present to you the only wrestling theme better late at night than Ben & Jerry’s, the new entrance for Dax & Cash #FTR, I like to call it: Darkside of TR
